The Womanizer and The Wench

Happy Chinese Niu Year!

Everyone collected/ gave out their ang pao yet? Gained weight? Sang cheesy songs? Gambled?

Yay!

Recently been addicted to Circus and Love Story.

Too many pestered me to listen to the latter and now I can’t stop listening to it. And don’t you think Circus makes you want to get up and dance? Awesome comeback by Britney.

Sure, in the real story, Romeo Montague was an unfaithful little piece of shit who only came to the ball to see another girl, Rosaline at first, before falling in love with Juliet’s beauty (beauty not personality, mind you) and killed her cousin Tybalt and if memory serves me, Paris too.

What happened to Rosaline then? And what would happen if Juliet gets old, haggard and ugly?

Juliet Capulet too, is the typical damsel in distress who can’t do anything right and only can wait for the pretty-boy-knight-in-shining-amour to save her.

If she’d thought things through, they might not have ended up dead.

She’s a pretty unfaithful sex-driven wench too, seeing as how she was so ready to renounce her name to go after that homicidal womanizer (another song I keep listening to).

I think it went something like:

Romeo Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name,

Or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I'll no longer be a Capulet.

I remember only that verse from the whole story, weird spelling and all. And the Rose thing.

Both so fickle, maybe they were made for each other after all.

But the song was a totally different thing, especially the last part:

I got tired of waiting
Wondering if you were ever coming around
My faith in you was fading
When I met you on the outskirts of town, I said

Romeo save me I've been feeling so alone
I keep waiting for you but you never come
Is this in my head, I don't know what to think
He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring, and said

Marry me Juliet you'll never have to be alone
I love you and that's all I really know
I talked to your dad you'll pick out a white dress
It's a love story baby just say yes

*teary eyes*

Driving is going on fine, but still friggin' hate that clutch.

Hope everyone has a Moo-velous New Year! (I know, it was lame!)

Mooooo,

Tremor

It hit me.

Today, as I was sitting beside mum in the car, I was daydreaming as usual.

My thoughts were about ham and cheese sandwiches, bad traffic, Enid Blyton and the amazing vocals of Christina Aguilera as she belted out I Am Beautiful.

These thoughts slowly wondered to the yesteryears of schooling life, friends and teachers alike.

And all of a sudden, it just hit me. So damn hard. It was like a wave of nausea had engulfed me as I thought about my SPM results.

I should’ve tried harder. It wasn’t my best effort. I didn’t study enough nor used my brains to their full potential.

It was hard to draw the next breath into my lungs, my throat felt like it was choking on something. Might’ve been a big wad of remorse.

My breathing became minutely shallower but other than that, I gave no outward signs that anything had gone wrong. I hugged my bag just an infinitesimal bit tighter to my cold body and stared at the traffic in front of me, not really registering anything.

Honestly, I nearly cried from the pang of regret that went right through me and left me a lesser person than nanoseconds before.

Why didn’t I study more? I might have done so much better because frankly, the abysmal procrastinator’s work I gave disappointed me sorely. And it isn’t just myself I’d be letting down, is it?

So fucking selfish of me.

I barely heard the sounds of Rihanna’s Disturbia pounding through my earphones.

Guilt and regret and disappointment all churned into one vast void in an instant of a few heartbeats is not easy to bear.

These pangs have happened to me quite a few times already but not as bad as today’s. Even now, I still feel unsettled. Safe to say, I am not looking forward to getting my results back.

Please all the future and current students. Whether you are in kindergarten or university, study hard and give your all. And you’ll never ever have to go through this lousy feeling just a little bit too late.

Regrets,

P.S. : Get well soon, YY. Presentation nothing to worry about.

Stoning

It's routine by now.

Friggin lot of stoning time between classes because it seems Foundation Year Science have very little stuff to do.

So most of my time is spent in the computer lab or cafeteria, playing facebook or viwawa (which I am slightly addicted to and I blame Sam for it). There're only 6 people in Science. -.-

I can only go back at 4.30, so what to do on Friday when my classes end at 1 and everyone has transport home but me?

Stone.

The A levels and cula people: one look at my friend's time table also faint liao. They have classes from 8 to 6 or 7!

Overall, my lecturers are cool. Bio lessons are the most interesting so far. Computer presentation already on Wednesday.

Hello, technology illiterate here! Won't know what to do during the Q & A.

We have lotsa stuff to cover before October which is when we will take our finals. Example, Chem has 44 units! Die.

We did a play in English today (yesterday actually, since it's 2.45 am)! I earned the title Korean Drama Queen, though I've never watched those before.

But I do watch way too much TV, which is probably where my ideas about cheating girlfriends, mob bosses, hangovers, love letters and suicides for the script come from. o.O

Oh, and I'm really proud of myself and all, but I really miss swearing.

Too bad mummy says it's *insert high, whiny, mocking voice here* unladylike. Pft, being a lady is totally overrated.

Tag time, thanks Sir Quacksalot! *sarcasm* Haven't done it for quite some time. Nothing better to do now anyway.

1. Does it matter to you if your boyfriend/girlfriend smokes?
Gross?

2. How bout drinking?
Not at all, but only if it's not an addiction. It kills your liver, people!

3. Do you like someone you can't have?
Now? Can something count? Coz I want chocolate ice cream but it's always sold out.

4. If someone liked you right now, would you want them to tell you?
Sure, but with no obligations on either side.

5. What's your favourite sport?
Does couch potato-ing count?

6. It's Saturday night, and you're home alone. What do you do?
Eat ice cream in my undies. -.- I don't know, whatever I feel like doing. Make cute/weird baby noise to my dogs maybe.

7. Do you like roller coasters?
ZOMG! Wheeeeeeee~! :D

8. When is the perfect time to have a bf/gf?
When both are ready I suppose.

9. If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?
You mean I have to choose?!

10. What are you doing this weekend?
First driving lesson! *prances* And erm, sort out my fuller-than-hell (yes, it's quite packed there, Jon) closet for CNY?

11. What is your favorite restaurant?
What is with all this pressure to choose?!

12. Have you ever hugged someone?
*HUGZ* There! I just gave everyone one.

-.- Stupid question right?

14. Do you like anyone right now?
I like pie.

15. What is the first thing you notice about the opposite sex?
Depends on the person. Honestly, it would be the looks but sometimes a personality really shines through.

16. Which do you prefer? Beach or Mountains?
More choosing. Can't choose. Not a decisive person.

17. What kind of phone do you have?
Again, technology illiterate. Say it with me, tech-noh-lo-gee il-li-teh-rate.

18. Computer or Laptop?
Can choose! Squeee~! Laptop.

19. Jeans or Sweater?
Back to indecisive.

20. Which year (s) has/have been the best so far?
Every year! We learn something about ourselves and others all the time. (omg, so cheesy but true)

21. How old are you gonna be on your next birthday?
18

22. What should you be doing right now?
Sleeping, but I'm blogging instead. How sad is that?

23. What is you're favorite TV show?
No more effing choosing! Ok, Friends maybe.

24. What's been your last purchase?
Truth? A bra. -.- (Retarded tag. After people just bought condoms how?)

25. Are you attracted to girls/boys that smoke?
Can't really say I am or have been.

26. Have you ever fallen on your butt in front of a crowd of people?
Yeah, and thanks for reminding me.

Quote Lester: 'Sleep music internet.' Add TV.

28. What is your favorite subject?
At the moment, Bio.

29. What's the best thing that's ever happened to you?
No more choosing please.

30. Tag 7 people.
I won't plague anyone with this tag. But whoever wants to do it, go ahead.

Well, that felt... immensely mind-retarding.

Off to make it worse by reading online comics.

Time and Tide

The years feel shorter and shorter as life goes on.

But time and tide wait for no man.

Just got to make the best of it. C=

Odd One Out

Pick It Up

If anyone has heard me
Then take my hand to show me
Because no one can hear me
Every time I call out
Even when I seem to shout
Tired of being the odd one out

Someone come and get me
No longer want to be
Black sheep of the family
Try to get through to you
No connection going through
Pick it up pick it up
Why won’t you pick it up?

Stretching out to reach to you
To touch you and hug you too
Don’t push me away again
My body can’t take the pain
Each rejection like a wound
My soul’s blood shall dry up soon

Someone come and get me
No longer want to be
Black sheep of the family
Try to get through to you
No connection going through
Pick it up pick it up
Why won’t you pick it up?

Someone come and get me
No longer want to be
Black sheep of the family
Try to get through to you
No connection going through
Pick it up pick it up
Why won’t you pick it up?

Ringing over and over
Trying to bond together
Pick it up oh pick it up
Why won’t you just pick it up?

Silence,

~*JJ*~

P.S. : Excuse the ameture work. It's not very good; came up with it in less than 15 minutes.

Change

There's only one thing constant in life, and that is change.

Today was the first day of KDU college, meaning orientation day. It was pretty tiring actually but better than Sunway's one apparently because our SSC had some games to keep us awake.

Yay us!

Despite my fear of not making any friends since I super suck at that, I met a few nice people.

There's Julia from Melacca who is very talented in artsy stuff but her love is in culinary arts. She sketched this up in about under 2 minutes.

They make it seems so easy. It was like the pencil just gave its all to her as she created this lovely drawing.

And this is just idle doodle to her. Her masterpieces must be 'Wow!' level.

There's Kim and Sue, who has a brother whom my mum taught before! She's hoping to get my mum too because her brother said my mum was a great teacher.

I'm so proud of my mummy. :D

I like the looks of ths college. The facilities such as the library is very big and the cafeteria serves yummy food seeing as KDU's culinary students are very skilled. My teachers are experienced and good as well.

There were briefings and performances and games. But seems like only 6 people are taking UNSW Foundation Science. o.o

Also, I think there were only two Seafieldians there, me and Lester. Sad case. Not so easy to relate to people but still trying.

Overall, it was a interesting and new experience and I'll look forward to college life as much as possible.

Hope everyone enjoys theirs too!

New stuff,

More Hong Kong

Johnny Depp!

Yeah, I found the photo.

And this one too! Now I can't find the Einstein one. D:

City tour time before we took the boat to Macau again.

'Touch the stone Ying, then can get married!' O.o
My chinese zodiac

Janice!

Isn't she adorable?

Stopped for lunch here.

Then checked into the Venetian Hotel!

Nice tub.

Isn't it beautiful?

Grand Canal where we...

...took Gondola rides!

But it was expensive and my cousin said in Venice where you can take the genuine ones, they're much cheaper and they serve champagne on the ride too!

=)

One of those statue people that only move when you give them cash.

Breakfast the next day and another tour in Macau.

So cute!

On the bus, my nieces couldn't sit still.

Fisherman's Wharf for lunch.

Cathedral of St. Paul's ruins. Our tour guide took us through way too quickly. Didn't even get to go close to it!

Love the portuguese egg tarts here! Smiley face!

Makan dinner back in the hotel, Itamesu Sushi or something like that (forgot the name again).

Our hotel.

Last day was free, so I went to see the casino. It's huge! Like those 'can't the the other end of the room' huge.

Then we left for KL!

Fin,

Hong Kong

Day 2 was in Disneyland.

Though the only real roller coaster was Space Mountain, it was pretty fun all the same. And clean. Super clean.

There was even a talking rubbish bin that followed people around!

Finishing up breakfast.

In the train.
It's a small world after aaallll~ It was colourful and lively inside!

Everyone crossing their arms! Don't know why though. Maybe we're all thinking angry thoughts simultaneously.
Though the Pooh ride was meant for kids, it was creative and fun all the same.

The parade!
Giant gingerbread man! Er, woman.

My favourite princess, Sleeping Beauty is on top! Yay!

Eeehhh...

Boat ride through a river.

Our guide had a pretty droning voice. Guess even she couldn't tell and story about a thousand times a day and still pretend to be interested in it.

After that, we shifted to the Royal Plaza Hotel.

Greedy people

I ate 'chou tou fu' (dunno how to spell la), and it was actually yummy! Kristin was exaggerating.

Oo oo, I got a new pair of boots there! And see the new bag I got from Disneyland? There's Mickey silhouettes all over it!

There was a panda named Jia Jia and another named Ying Ying. What are the odds? =D
Ocean Park the next day. We went to see pandas and aquariums and a performance. Compared to Disneyland, the rides were mediocre and the lines were way too long.

Makes me wish I could take vet science even more.
So many baubles! @.@

The Wax Museum at night. Eddie Murphy! *gasp* I can't find my Johnny Depp one!

To be continued,
~*JJ*~
